Julie's Polka Dot Pie

Since I'm letting them pick their own recipe for individual classes this week, Julie went back and forth about 15 times on what she wanted to make.

When we got around to making her recipe, I didn't have the colored marshmallows it called for. We just used white ones. This pie was SO yummy!!! Great for summer. Cool and smooth. And yes, I forgot to take pics before we ate it. I also cheated and didn't make the crust. Although, the recipe had it in there to be made.

All of these recipes this week have come from a book called , "Chock Full of Chocolate" that we got from the library. When they have all had a turn picking and making one thing; it will be my turn!! I'm thinking I'll be picking more than one recipe to try!

Nolan's Truffles

Now I know why truffles have so many calories and are usually covered in (more) chocolate. And Nolan thinks dipping them into chocolate would be better than rolling them in the powder- which is what this recipe called for.

I have never made truffles before. These were yummy and quite rich. So, I guess they turned out okay. They were a messy project though!

Cupcake Cones

This was a new recipe for us. The chocolate cake part. And the making it in cones part was new for us too!! It was Calvin's pick for our annual, summer, Cooking School.

Just a fun way to make cupcakes!!
